Avesta municipality has made a significant decision to realize an extensive solar energy investment together with Recap Energy, a prominent Swedish energy company.
At the council’s meeting on May 22, it was decided to make land available to build a solar park in Horndal. Through a combination of the available land from Sveaskog and Avesta municipality, an impressive solar park will be created, which ranks among Sweden’s largest solar parks. This investment marks the beginning of Avesta’s endeavour to develop more plots within the municipality in order to enable renewable energy solutions in the future.
